The Art of Letting Go

Nothing in this life is yours, Everything is temporary. Do not hold on to the earth, Or the things that make you merry. A single day can change it all, And wash your world away. If you tie your heart to things, You only cause decay. To love a person or a place, Is inviting your own pain. So I promise to let go, And walk out in the rain. From this day I make an oath, To keep my spirit free. I will not attach my soul, To what was never meant to be.
