The Atlas Contract
They say Atlas carries the weight of the world
But who carries Atlas, when his shoulders strain
Who catches the teardrop that falls in the rain
A question that echoes in silence and space
What holds up the burden in that lonely place
Does Atlas carry the world or do we carry our own
Do we ask for help when we’re tired
Or do we just keep trying completely alone
is it fair to ask for help when others are drowning
When everyone bears a mountain, who lightens the load
A silent contract, a shared glance
That acknowledges struggle, a second chance.
Maybe the world's weight is just meant to be shared,
A truth whispered softly, a load that is cared.
We find strength in knowing we're not truly apart,
The world isn't just carried by one heart.
it rests on the net of hands intertwined,
The collective of all humankind.
So who carries Atlas? The rest of us do.
And who carries us? When we need it, too.
