The Burden of Knowing

Blessed are those who seek wisdom. Blessed are those who seek understanding. Grace be upon the just man whose understanding is accordant with his wisdom. Only a fool seeks out knowledge. Only a fool wishes to be filled with words. For in seeking knowledge comes great grief. In seeking such powerful words comes a being so isolated, so drained of every life, imperishable. Do not seek it if you seek peace. If it is peace and love that you want, do not seek wisdom or her followers. Seek out knowledge. If you seek war, if you seek worry, if all you want is a life full of misery, seek out knowledge for yourself. Oh, you foolish man, for you do not know you are kept from some words of knowledge for the sake of your own being. Oh, you gullible fool, do you not know that that which you are going after to seek is the one that will be the end of your fate, of your soul? For knowledge, do not go out seeking mere men. They seek out the ones whose destinies are beyond that which one can rule so they can ensnare him and send him into a world where there is no return to sanity. So then, if you love your life, keep away from knowledge. Get wisdom, as I say, and get understanding, but keep away from certain kinds of knowledge that will take you to your grave. A madman's title wasn't given in a day. A genius award wasn't handed over in a year. So then, if you love your precious short life, keep yourself away from knowledge. All books are not good. If you love your life, keep yourself away from knowledge. Keep yourself away from that which holds too many words, too many instructions.
