The castless show without only a lead
I never had family attend my shows or performances,
My school nights where EVERYONE had family,
While EVERYONE showed off their talents,
Showing the magic in their arts,
They always had someone there,
Some kids had siblings come,
Some had moms, dads, aunts,
As they gave it their all with support,
While I gave it my all knowing I had no one,
No one watching from the sidelines,
By blood I mean,
All I ever had were my friends,
The teachers who supported me,
The Family I wanted but never was given,
The family every child should have had,
But mine were always too busy or too tired,
Never giving me the time and attention I needed,
I have this event coming up,
And I can’t even have family bring me there,
Nor support me going,
Even so…I’ll find a way to go,
Because I’ve accepted the idea of it all,
Performing without a cast behind me I mean.
