The Curse of Voice and Void


The girl was known to love to talk And through the woods, she'd sing and walk She helped her friend hide the trail With endless stories without fail The queen, angered by the nymph's deceit, Cursed her words to be incomplete She tried to speak but sounds would flee And only others words would be She wandered lonely through the trees With no one around to hear her pleas Until one day, she heard a voice And followed it without a choice Within a clearing she could see A boy who stared where water gleams She tried to speak, her heart aflame But only his words came out the same He turned away and left her there And gave her not a single care...
