The Day You Returned

The Day You Returned Was better than the day you left. The day you left I took one long glance at you. You and your child frame Sucking nervously on your thumb Sure to cause pruning at the tip; An old bad habit of yours. I bid you one last weak wave My brother. My confidence. Will you leave a piece of yourself in this airport terminal? How much time has passed since I saw you at this terminal? My brother. My confidence. I bid you one avid wave. A fairly new habit of yours, Sure to cause bleeding at the tip; Biting nervously at your nails. You and your adult frame I take one glance at you. The day you returned Was miles better than The Day You Left
