The End of the Tunnel

Is it wickedness? Is it weakness? Collectively we run and hide, however that makes you feel. Just the thought brings that comforting fog that engulfs you, till your light momentarily shines again. Doesn’t matter if it’s a substance or your mind. People survive in detrimental ways, pushing further beyond the veil of hopelessness. Only a few have the capacity to want better for themselves. Before it is all said and done, you are given the gift of a full life. Will you lie there with decades of regret and no one? Or with people who wished they could’ve done more? So yes, continue. Lie. Drink. Do drugs. Keep being synthetic. Soon you’ll attain something never meant for you, or maybe it’s the lesson you needed to learn. To the lights unscathed at the end of the tunnel: Keep the light alive.
