The Flower

The prettiest of flowers Carry the sharpest of thorns I could sit and watch you for countless hours While you sharpen the knife behind your back I knew the truth was something you’d lack I was distracted by your deceiving petals Because it was sunny outside when you wanted to attack Drowning in a sea of grass Blood behind my back
