The Graveyard of Our Memories

CC BY-ND
My mind draws a blank now, for six months of my life now a memory of what once was Your love for me now gone, yet mine still living in the graveyard of your promises All the I love yous, which once meant everything to me Now a hollow word in your voice, carrying through my mind My love grows like a weed you can't ever seem to get rid of, You can under water me, or drawn me, step on me, or pluck me away Yet tomorrow I grow once more All the petals that my weed stretches out, leans to your light, your voice, your soft-spoken words Now only existing within that graveyard You can try all you want to push me away But my mind is forever in the remanence of our memories.
