THE GREEN FEILD

I don't want a win, I don't want a loss. I will not be there for a win or loss. I will be free. Let them speak. I will agree, so they will stop. Let them think they have won, I will let them think. Because I will not be there for a win or loss, I will be far away from any discussion. Even if they come to me, I will say, Yes, and walk even farther away. For what is a victory, if it steals the silence of the mind? And what is defeat, if my heart still walks in peace? I will build a wall, if it is high enough to protect my mind. Not because I hate them, but because I want to hear myself. My wall will abolish all. None of the wrong, none of the right. None of the worst, none of the angel. To have the right is to have the worse. Nothing alone is there, not even my peace. Every light leaves a shadow, every joy leaves a tear. The far always meets the near, and the loud still carries fear. So the price will split, paying the good and the bad, half of the half, until nothing asks me to choose. Then I will have the full of me. What's me. What's inside of me that flows. Not what they say. Not what they think. Not what they call me. Only what flows, only what stays, only what was there before they gave me a name. I don't want my life to be of wait, work and arguments. My life would be... Each day, not counting, but living. Even if the end comes tomorrow, I have lived long enough to say goodbye once. Because my life will not be measured by who was right, or who was wrong. Not by who won, or who lost. It will be measured by the peace I carried when everything else was falling away. Then I will live to the side, under a tree, on a green field, on a monsoon day, not rain... but cold wind that blows away.
