The Hard Right
The version of you that can carry more
Is never found on some peaceful shore.
It isn’t handed down by fate or luck,
It’s forged in fire when life feels stuck.
Not in comfort.
Not in ease.
But in the weight that bends your knees.
In the moments pressure starts to rise,
And every weakness comes alive.
When something stretches who you are,
Don’t flee the wound.
Don’t numb the scar.
Stand inside the storm and see
What it reveals beneath the plea.
Where do you doubt?
Where do you break?
Where does fear begin to shake?
Where does your spirit seek escape
When hardship slowly changes shape?
For awareness turns the trial to gold,
And makes the fragile spirit bold.
Temporary pain, when faced outright,
Becomes expansion earned through fight.
Growth is not some random thing,
Not luck bestowed by suffering.
It’s watched.
It’s carried.
It’s understood.
It’s choosing discipline when you could,
Take the softer road and run,
Avoid the weight,
Undo what’s done.
But strength is built by those who choose
The harder path most people lose.
And this is why, through storm and strife,
We do the hard right in this life,
Not the easy wrong that steals the soul
While comfort slowly takes its toll.
