The Heart Assassin

This is a crime. You deserve to do hard time. For you have assassinated my heart. I can’t breathe. It’s staggering. I’m fleeting. The air is escaping yet somehow I am finally seeing. He’s a plague. This is more than a rise, a roller coaster is a rise. Gradual and slow. This shit hit me like a bus. But when you know…you know Heart beats. Time slows. The earth swallows me whole because my mind knows what will happen if I chose you. If I let my morals go and let my body do the talking instead of the running for once. If I let it show that your very presence makes my lungs give out and heart swell. But I’ve perfected my craft. You could never tell that I replay every conversation we have throughout the day to keep this crush at bay. I wish consequences weren’t attached to actions but I don’t know how to contain this passion. But my mind knows. You are the only person that can slow my heart rate and when you are near I can still feel my face warm. I can’t explain these emotions so let me just go back to the start. This is a crime. You deserve to do hard time. For you have assassinated my heart. You have me. You’ve had me since the first day I met you. No roses red. No violets blue. Just you.
