The Ocean

I walk to the edge Of the sand. The water is so murky So dangerous so mysterious so beautiful. When I am in it It calms me Soothes me Lifts me Comforts me Like a cool blanket. When I am in it I have no stress No worries Nothing else matters Except for the gentle bobbing Of the waves against my body. When I am in it I feel alive Buzzing Full of energy Like I can accomplish anything. When I am next to it It beckons me Calls me: “Come” “Come” “Come”. It’s waves reach For my feet I feel a magnetic pull Then the ocean’s Gentle arms Extend And pull me Into it’s quiet embrace.
