The Snapped Tree and Repaired Dreams
You plant a tree
You let it grow
You water it every day
A thunderstorm comes
Shaking the earth
It's all washed away
The tree is dead
Snapped and soaking
It's laying on the floor
Broken
But it dropped a sapling
You didn't notice
And while you were feeling blue
The sapling put its roots in the ground
And when you were gone,
It grew.
