The Story Of You

Some people leave memories behind You leave stories Ones you can tell years down the line That's my favourite thing about you You make ordinary moments feel like they"re worth remembering And even though we don't see each other for months You always feel so familiar The way you laugh Or the way your mouth curves when you smile And you might be quiet But I know when you're there Because your presence speaks loud And I feel safe Safer than I've ever felt before With you things are easy Not perfect, but easy And yes, maybe our friendship was never loud And yes, maybe I liked it that way But for that reason, you are one of the few I'm comfortable with One that I feel I can share anything with So thank you for being my safe space The one I can rely on Because even though our friendship is complicated sometimes I have always felt like that has strengthened our bond
