The Summer Everything Went South
The Summer Everything Went South,
Was an interesting year for me
I went to the beautiful Florida Keys
With the most colorful fish I have ever seen
And an ocean clear as crystals
I felt as though I had finally found the perfect sunburned paradise
Then Wes showed up
Wes has been my friend for four years
We have been to two separate schools together
And have been each other's constant through it all
But Wes was NOT the person I wanted to see on my vacation
I went on vacay to escape school,
And everything the government subsidised hadestown stood for
So seeing my School friend when I was trying to escape school wasn't ideal
It ended up ok
I blew up my social life, with a different friend group
*Sadly it got tied back together because the universe likes watching me suffer*
And Wes helped me realize it was all for the best
So the last summer I went south in more ways than one
And I have some of the best memories from it
