The Wanderer
There is a flame burning deep in my heart
A lone candle standing in a nighttime window
Throwing shadows on the bedroom floor
In the stillness
Your breath is radiant in the darkness
A voice from a burning bush
Consuming my soul
And setting my heart on fire
Kneeling there
Adoring your image
Lips pressed to lips
And flesh on flesh
I writhe and moan in ecstasy
Thirsty for a drop
From your life-giving fountain
I feel that I have searched for you forever
Wandering
Lost and alone
But in the light of that window
In your arms
I have finally found a home
