The watching of others

The weight of a secret is a powerful thing It eats away at your soul and makes your heart sting Until one day all that hurt erupts And you’re left with a stomach all tangled in knots You can try to forget it, push away the pain But nothing can quiet that god awful thing They are just like you Everyone says But it’s not the same No, it’s too easy for them So keep spreading your hate and keep pushing it down But one day you will realize it’s not you, it’s those around Those who swear it’s not natural Those who say it’s a sin Block that out, and take a deep breath in Take one step at a time and let it all in Because the sun wasn’t made for just one person It was made for us all Secrets and everything
