Their Definition

People say that I talk like a whtie person

                  How? I don't know

I see myself as speaking as a true scholar

Not the next ghetto top model

I see myself as educated

Not annhilated

I'm not another statistic

Not another number

It rankles me how people think

A poor excuse to call me lame

An excuse to say: "oh she thinks she's all that."

No! I'm not all that

I'm just a girl whose parents took the time to raise her

Not parents who bathed her

Bathed her with too many materialistic things

Parents who tell her looks will get her everything

I know i'm pretty

But flaunting it won't get me paid

it's my ora when I walk in a room

They way I pronounce my words

The way I work

You see that will get you paid

Knowledge will get me those scholarships

Beauty! Ha Ha

I laugh

The clothes on your back

and the Jordan's on your feet

may get you fake friends

but not knowledge

See it's me "talking white" that gives off that impression

The impression that  I am about something

So to all you haters

I'll a catch you later

While I'm earning this degree.
