Their love

their love died

their love was like roses

seasonal.

it was beautiful when it bloomed

and sad when its satin petals fell

each satin piece flowed gently

looking for a place to settle

but after the harsh conditions

all was settled and at peace

but then again

the cycle.

the harsh conditions came down again

and the pieces again fell

but this time the pieces

never returned

over.

this time they flew so far

never to return

they missed the stem

but never to return again

the weeds grew

poison.

the leaves fell away

all was left were the

prickly thorns.
