Them and Me

Let them be united,

understood by their friends,

together in the fight of their life,

someone standing next to you, in whatever situation you've somehow gotten in,

I would rather be solitude,

understood by no one, even myself,

changing with the seasons and whomever's around me,

making sure no one gets too close and too far away,

Let them be colorless,

lacking the imagination and creation of a child knowing no boundaries,

unwilling to exaggerate in the lives of the normal,

making it up instead of going along,

changing to the style and mix of a beat,

i would rather be there,

in the twists and turns of confusion,

standing on the side of humor,

bordering on the edge of the plank of too weird,

skidding along with no destination in mind, only discovery,

dancing alone to the music playing in my head,

Let them be them,

I would rather be me
