Theme

The instructor said, Go home and write A page tonight. And let that page come out of you -- Then, it will be true. I could write about where I’m from. My hometown. The town that is my home. I could write about my hometown. Yes, it’s true. But I’d have an awful lot of explaining to do. To unravel where I’m from Is quite a feat. I’m not sure this task Can possibly be beat. My hometown has no name, you see. I’m not from any place. I’m not from here, I’m not from there. I am from everywhere. I’ve lived in places All around the globe. And to warn you, This may hurt your occipital lobe. I’ve lived in Texas, Germany, Even ole’ San Francisc’. And then there was Guam, With its truly crooked Palms. Santa Fe, yes siree! I’ve even faced The hustle Of Washington, D.C. Tiny and astronomical. Here and there. My hometown Is everywhere.
