Theory Of Me
Imperfect
But it feels so right
Staying up late
All night
Watching you sleep
Wrapped up in my sheets
I dreamed of you
And now I can't get you
Out of my head
It's been a hard road
Getting here
But now that you're here
I can't imagine
You anywhere else
This heart
Is second rate
And my confession
Is long overdue
But you listen
Because it's you
And you kissed me
Like you couldn't stand it
Another minute
I want it
I want you
More then I've wanted
In a long time
And I know
What he wanted me to be
But I couldn't be
The old me
But you see
You see me
As I am now
Thank you
For taking my heart
Battered and bruised
Thank you
For your flannel shirts
Decorating my floor
Thank you
For your laugh
And your wild hair
And your gentle touch
Thank you
For finding me here
And taking me on
Thank you
For not falling in love
With the theory of me
But the real me
