Therapy

At a time in my life I hated poetry

I thought it was meaningless

But through the years

I have seen poetry for what it is

Poetry is my therapy

I used to struggle to find a way to cope

But poetry is my outlet

When things feel too overwhelming

And I feel like I'm drowning

I write what I feel

Poetry has saved my life in more ways than one
