lie here next to me

look up to the sky

see the stars,

smiling down

one for each you and me.

take my hand

hold it tight

see the stars,

how they fill the night.

catch your breath

steady your pulse

the stars are our spotlight,

so please hold me close.

not a single word spoken

not even a murmur

all we need is the stars,

they mend what is broken.
