There Are Days

There are days

When I sit, and I stare

Blankly at my ceiling for hours

Because nothing is real

And there are days

When my poems

And my paintings

Become suicide notes

And there are nights

When I realize

How alone I really am

And I cry

And there are nights

Where I cry

And the only thing that lets me sleep

Are the pills I have hidden

And there will be a a morning

When I don't come out of my room

And you'll come in

And shake me

And I won't wake up

And there will be no more pain
