There Are Still
Today is Friday
A day where all of the
“Ahhs” should be awakening
From their slumber
But sadly,
There are still
Papers to write
And songs to practice
And tests to study for
There are still
Meals to be cooked
And children to be taken care of
And chores to be done
There are still
Arguments to be held
And yellings to endure
And ex’s to avoid at all costs
There are still
Planes to fly
And meetings to be held
And lives to be saved
There are still
Candies to be eaten
And cakes to decorate
And restaurants to eat at
There are still
Friends to talk to
And boy or girl friends to see
And people to talk to
There are still
Nice naps to be taken
And family dinners to eat
And game nights to win
There are still
Risks yet dared to be tried
And goals to be created
And dreams to be achieved
But happily,
From their awakening
“Ahhs” should be rejoiced
To come to realize that
Tomorrow is Saturday
