There is Health in Comfort

Fatigue lingers in the air
Eyelids fall heavy.
Rushing winds of passing cars fade
As he steps in through the door greeted
by a sweet smell,
a warm embrace,
by a comforting smile,
a gentle hold,
by an understanding soul
This is home.
Not a roof over his head
Nor a bed to sleep in
no
After an endless day
She is home.
Without a word needed
But the simple touch of her hand
There is only love
