There it goes again

There it goes again

That thumping in my head

I've been up for 16 hours

And I still can't go to bed

I didn't have coffee, a dew or a coke

There's too much on my mind

I feel my life is a joke

Pain after pain

Sorrow after sorrow

I thought the Bible said all this would end tomorrow

I'm trying to trust in you Lord

I really am

I know that you hold my future in your hands

But that time last night when I couldn't take it

And I prayed, "Dear Lord, please help me make it"

I heard crickets

Nothing at all

I need you to save me

So I will not fall
