There was nothing she could do

No, stop you are hurting me,You are strangling my childhood glee,Why can’t you see,That you are slowly killing me,Mommy! Mommy! But there was nothing she could do.

You say you love me and then you punch,I am going to go on a hunch,And say that your moral compass has been expunged,You beat me until I saw red,But there was nothing she could do.

It is because of you that she is not alive,You stole my child and now I cannot thrive,I am doing everything I can just to survive,This pain will follow me until I die,But there was nothing she could do.
I am a young girl changed for the life long,Attacked by a group of boys yet I felt like I was in the wrong,I tried to fight back but they were to strong,My faith in society is far gone,But there was nothing she could do.

There act was venomous,Leaving us in a state of pure helplessness,Even with my act of benevolence,There was nothing she could do,There was nothing he could do,There was nothing they could do,I tried with all my power to make a breakthrough,But there was nothing I could do.
