There’s Someone Else

You said you felt empty.

Out of place in the world.

Felt like there was something off,

Something wrong.

I tried to help.

Give you my love

In the hope to make you feel full again.

Until we realized,

That no matter what I did

I could never make you feel full.

Because it wasn’t my love

That you needed nor wanted.

It was someone else’s.
