These are the Days
These are the days we make so much sacrifice,
So time with my wife is often more precious than life.
We sacrifice the home, the family too,
So to have enough to do what they do.
Pushing the limit at work and at home,
We cherish the quiet, the looks, and the phone.
Quality time seems such a rarity,
Moments are precious, each look a memory.
Passes the seconds, future thoughts we cast,
Laughing at life and moment’s past.
Never considering the evolution of time,
Leaving again just seems like a crime.
But day after day we do what we can,
To keep together and stick to God’s plan.
Days keep on changing and time moves on by,
Wrongly looking at life with the blink of an eye.
The danger in that is the moment is lost,
Melted away like the mornings frost.
Never the same each moment’s unique
So cherish the time and the word you speak
Yes these are the days we make so much sacrifice,
But keeping it focused makes it worth the price.
