These are my Poets by Les II

It’s time to Slam!

We gonna hip dip and ego trip

You up with words of wisdom from

The inner kingdom of the mind

These are my poets

They glory in words

Creating silent images

That replace pain, longing, life, love, joy, peace +war, victory + defeat

These are my poets

They use words to

Instruct and teach about

What is, What will be, What should be, and what aint

Theses are my poets

Their words are their weapons of the mind

Defense against pain, loneliness, jewels of forgiveness

These are my poets

Their words are weapons of the mind

Defense against pain, loneliness,

Jewels of forgiveness

These are my poets

Their words talk about heart and home, Momma and Daddy, Player and the played

The genius of Love

These are my poets

Wordsmiths all

Creating emotion from nothingness

Joy from the mundane

Peace from tragedy

Using your mind as a springboard to humanity

Creativity the sensuality of awareness

These are my poets

Bow your head to their brilliance

Applaud their impact

Respect their words
