These are Times

*These Are Times-* *A Simple Coronach* *(Lamentative Peom)* These are Times When Ancient Memory Flashes; When Men Bask in the Good Old Days' Splashes; When Women Paint their Brows and Eyelashes; And Children Greet Parents With Cane Strokes and Back lashes These are Times When History Records Our Human Follies; When Devils Patrol the Earth as Hollies; When Women Strut the Street With Naked Bodies; While Men Buy Sweet Pleasures from Dirty Buddies These are Times When Pigs Grow Wings and Fly; When Witches Transform at Noon into Butterfly; Where Beasts and Dead Animals Drop From the Sky Yet No Curious Philosopher Cares to ask Why These are Times When Lions Give Birth Under Ukana Tree; When Powerful Men See Their Own Shadows and Flee; When local Ears Dance at the Death of Foreign Glee; As the Whole World is Thrown into Turmoil and Panic Spree These are Times When Chinese 'Hanters' Eat up African Hunters; When Native Doctors Renounce their Craft for the Holy Doctors; When Corona Spooks Spike the Guns of Global Crooks; And Nemesis' Nooks Hang the Noose on Leader-Plotters' Hooks These are Times When No Nose Sneezes for Bird Flu; But Times when Everything You Hear Seems to be True; When the Market Square is so Tight for a Tiny Buyer to Pass Through; These are Times When Goldmines Become Graveyards for Dead Minds See How Masked Faces Litter the Streets of Town and Cities; Hear How Sanitized Hands kill the Viruses on Steel Surfaces; Man Must Stay indoors From Dawn to Dusk; While Rumours Fly at Noon to Raise the Dust... *The Poem Thematically Captures the Moral Decay,Societal Decadence, immoralities, indecencies and Post-modern Happenings in the World, as well as the Anomalies,Anxieties,Panic,Deaths and Shocking Events Associated With the Corona Virus Pandem..
