THESE DAYS. THESE NIGHTS.

Days like this.

The days I miss you the most.

Knowing that you're truly gone,

But instead I go on as if you were here.

The days I see you everywhere I look.

Deceiving myself as I stare into this mirror,

Every feautures, so much clearer.

The days I smile to keep from crying.

Tearing up inside,

Along with you all my dreams died.

Nights like this.

The nights I hear my momma crying.

Wanting you back so desperately,

Only if we could.

The nights filled with restless sleep.

Tossing and turning,

Hoping you'll be returning.

The nights my pillows are soaked with tears.

Having these pains unbearable,

Does it have to be so terrible.

These days. These nights.

Oh, do they come so often.

These days. These nights.

We yearn for you.

These days. These night.

Slaves to the pain.

These days. These nights.

Continue til we take our final breath.

THESE DAYS. THESE NIGHTS.
