These Four Senses

People listen

No one hears

The silent words

Pass through ears

They string the mind

Like melted flesh

Gone before

They have a chance

People look

No one sees

Through this mask

Invisibility

They look right through

They never see

The truth that they

Once shared with me

People touch

No one feels

The agony

It’s all so real

They ignore what isn’t true

To them

But for you

People talk

No one speaks

The truth of the world

Not hidden to thee

A blind eye is turn

A dim ear is casted

A soft hand is felt

People listen

But never see

That what I feel

Is real to me
