These Hallways of Mine

Hello? Can someone or anyone hear me?

I see all you people but you don’t see me

I can hear all you people but you can’t hear me

I can feel your presence but I can’t even seem to find mine

These huge hallways I walk through

All filled with hundreds of unfamiliar faces known as students

Classrooms waiting for you

Expecting for you to have all this knowledge and no fear

I’m scared.

Like a puppy being brought into a new home

Not knowing anything and being afraid to even bark.

Who am I, what am I doing here?

Can somebody talk to me?!

Hello? Can someone or anyone hear me?

I see all you people but you don’t see me

I can hear all you people but you can’t hear me

I can feel your presence but again I can’t even find mine

These hallways, so small they seem

Filled with faces I know, people I care for

Classrooms waiting for you to go into one last time

Classrooms that have prepared you with knowledge

I am fearless.

Like a tiger ready to attack its’ prey

I know who I am, I know what I’m here for, and I know where I’m going.
