These Have I Loved 2014
These have I loved
Softly simmering scented candles
Cradling their melted limbs in a candy dish bowl
These have I loved
A summer storm’s thundering bass
As lightning flashes and keeps the pace
These have I loved
The fierce movements of the surging currents
Beneath an aquamarine tide
These have I loved
Walking beneath a sphere of radiant yellow
That heats and greets my face
These have I loved
Empty wine bottles that are hung from the
Tree branches to capture the light of the day
These have I loved
Novels promising worlds of adventure,
Thrilling plots and escape
These have I loved
The soprano plink of ice against a
Porcelain mug of white
These have I loved
Writing poetry in a room filled with me my book, and my words
Something wrong with this poem?
