These Walls

I grew up in a house without any walls

We had no secrets I knew everything

Growing up we were close or so i thought

Years passing and I feel like we were under construction

Windows started to appear and doors started to become locked

Things were changing and you were too blind to notice

I hit thirteen and I believe that's when I finally had built my own room

You became suspicious and forced me to tear it down

Stripped of my own materials I was left with nothing

A few years pass and I've managed to build a steel wall between us

Furious you told me to tear it down and looked up at you , tears in my eyes

And said not this time , I won't allow it. So I stay here locked away in my

Own despair praying my walls stay up protecting me from your words

You see me in pain and instead of helping me through it  you blame me

For something you caused , I have one question for you, does blaming me for your actions make you feel anymore of a man?
