They

There's more than what meets the eye

at night they may crouch and cry;

yet at school they paint smiles on their faces

people rarely put them in their graces

but they need their graces the most.

Because in public they're a ghost

You walk past them and kill them with glances

but do you ever give them chances?

Little do you know their pain

They are tied down by the chain

The pain is intolerable

it's almost inoperable.

It's the kind of pain

that never fades;

It's the kind of pain

medicated by blades--

blades. That don't always work.
