They Didn't Die.
they didn't die for this
they didn't died with the tears of the boiling sun dripping down their chin and the welts splitting their back.
they didn't get shot at a hotel while tryna make us great
they didn't die by their people while tryna change their fate
they didn't die for this
for black blood to be shed
their sons and daughters will never be wed 'cause we're soon to be dead
they didn't die for this, FOR US, to be homophobic when gays, we, I! are oppressed too
they didn't die for us to be caught in the trap of toxic masculinity
they didn't die for us to be trapped in hypersexualized femininity
they didn't die for you
for you to not stand up. we have the power, do what some couldn't 'cause thats how they died.
they did die, they died by trying to stand up and fight for YOUR blood
but your blood might just spill across the concrete floor if you don't try to help us some more
not just injustice
as a whole.
Then your spirit won't die, for us.
