They Matter.

Shot down at gun point, with skittles in the rain Trayvon...that was his name. Hidden agendas in their minds, you would think they wanted us gone. Nah, that couldn't be. All because wearing a hoodie made him look like a thug. Trayvon...that was his name. A shot to the head and now she's dead A cell phone was mistaken for a gun on the scene. Rekia...that was her name. Mistakes are accidental, not intentional. He had the chance to let her leave. Can't hang in a crowd because that's too dangerous. Rekia...that was her name. Held down in a choke hold. Even still after he said to the officer, "I can't breathe." Eric, that was his name. Innocent lives taken in spite of what they were made out to be. If only they would've listened and his life wouldn't be missing. Eric...that was his name. Didn't have a turn signal, but had too much attitude. Arrested, then suddenly found dead in jail. Sandra...that was her name. Her family will always live with the pain of their loved one gone. Sandra...that was her name. Protesting that Black Lives matter Consider that a huge factor, why so many of us fight for what we believe. Hidden agendas in their minds, you would think they wanted us gone. Nah, that couldn't be.
