They Never Said

They said It’ll happen young Fast, fresh, easily sprung Similar to a surfer’s wave Crashing into high and low tides But something you’ll always crave They said Don’t let it blind you, Hide you, guide you, and lie to you Nor make you cry, too! Be smart and guard your heart But I ask, How? How not? How will I know when to start and to stop? What class do I take? To help direct me in the right way You can’t just sign up and register Before you know it, you’ll be deeply and completely in love with him or her It’s Love Which they never said…
