They Said

THEY SAID Have faith they said. In the end, everything will get better. God gives us what we need, not what we want. How long must the fight go on? Soon, they said. Soon, it will all be over. God won’t let the pain last forever. Things will improve soon, they have to. God loves you, they said. Was that supposed to make me feel better? Some help that did. What has he done for me? Persevere, they said. Til when, I’m old and dead? Will the world ever get better? Is it worth fighting or should I just give in? Build the Kingdom, they said. It’s not easy. Is it worth it? Hell yea. They were right, I said.
