They say the devil’s

They say the devil’s teardrops Are made of fire Mine too, are Burning holes into my cheeks and Singeing my collar bone They cry out to me; Am I dead Yet And out of the silence Comes a single sigh And that is my very Existence And I wonder What is the meaning Of nothingness Because I have convinced myself That is what I am Yet all around me There is life and death and Everything I could wish for and Everything I could dread and I am utterly Afraid to live But not To die
