They Scare Me
They watch me
Like predators hunting prey
They approach me
In an intimidating way
They scare me
With the meaningless words that they say.
I hate
How they control me
I hate
This is how it must be
And I hate
How I do nothing to set myself free.
I ignore
My nervous heart who continuously pounds
I ignore
My shaken limbs who utter broken sounds
I ignore
My fear that I will no longer let be found.
And they watch me
While I give them a warm grin
And they approach me
While I still stand stand strong from within
And they scare me
But I don't let that affect my chances of the win.
