Thieves

In this world,

Nothing is safe.

Everyone gets hurt,

And the thieves always take.

They take from the rich

Like they take from the poor.

They take and they take

From a world that's so sore,

And can't afford

For thieves to take anymore.

in this world,

Hearts get broken,

Because it's more than material things

That get stolen.

It's lives of the innocent,

Lives of the lost,

Lives of the ones

Paying the ultimate cost.

In this world,

Thieves only try to stand tall.

But under the weight of what they've stolen,

They fall.

So if there were one thing in this world

I would change,

I would teach the thief

The importance of shame.

I would teach the thief

How to do for himself,

Without having to take

From anyone else.

For in this world,

A teacher is needed,

So men can earn what they want,

Instead of resorting to thieving.
