Thin, Pretty, and Tall
"That girl is so skinny",
"Her waist is so small".
Why can't I be perfect-
thin, pretty, and tall?
My stomach rolls over,
My legs jiggle as I walk.
All I want is a thigh gap,
and abs like a rock.
I'll skip eating for a day,
maybe I'll lose weight.
My body will look flawless,
healthy, and great.
It's been a month now.
I've lost ten pounds.
My body feels different.
My head's spinning around.
I'm starting to feel sick,
My body is sore.
I know this is bad,
but I want to lose more.
"You look like a skeleton"
"Why do you look like that?"
I get asked all of these questions,
but still feel very fat.
I really need help
getting out of this mess.
Why should I care if I fit
in a size zero dress?
Our bodies are unique,
they are one of a kind.
You should love yours,
and I should love mine.
Why treat yourself poorly?
Want a cookie? Eat them all.
It's crazy what we will do to be
thin, pretty, and tall.
