The Thing about Writing

It seems strange,

doesn't it,

To write about writing,

But I would believe it to be even more strange if no one ever did.

To me, writing seems to be much more than just,

Puting silly words onto a platform,

Indeed it feels to be much more.

Writing is, in fact, an exploration.

A scavenger hunt, 

Where you find these strange ideas and thoughts,

That are so complexly put into an arrangment ,

So particular,

And that you're in complete control over.

And  it is terrifying.

  The thing about writing,

Is that it will expose you.

To yourself,

to others,

to the world.

And of course nobody likes to be exposed and vulnerable.

But writing will do just that,

And it will terrify people,

But even more than that,

It will intruige people,

It will propel people into a deep discovery of themselves,

And of other people,

And of other worlds,

And it will bring people together 

And expand the vastness of itself through others.

It is a beautiful thing. 

Thats a thing about writing.
