The Thing About You...

The thing about you is, you always listen. The thing about you is, you never judge. The thing about you is, you're always there. The thing about you is, you're my best friend. No matter how hard this life, this world knocks me down, I get back up. Why? Because of you. Because you encourage me. Because you care. The thing about you is, you never push me away - no matter if I push you first. The thing about you is, you make me happy. The thing about you is, you care so much. The thing about you is, you never run. I may have been cruel, I may have been rude. I may scream, I may yell. I can spit venom. I snarl at you. I snap at you, and bite at you. Still, you never run. The thing about you is, you're all I need. The thing about you is, no one makes me feel so loved. The thing about you is, you're so honest. The thing about you is, you tell me everything, no matter how awful it may sound. If I'm out of line, you're there to put me back in it. When I fear I'm losing myself, you pick me up and dust me off and say, "Everything's going to be okay." When I break down and cry and push everyone else away...you break through my walls and kneel by my side, rest your hand on my shoulder, and kiss my cheek and say, "I love you." The thing about you is, love is more than just skin deep. The thing about you is, you are unique. The thing about you is, I can't be better if you aren't there. The thing about you is, I love you.
